FIFA World Cup 2014, Set to Hit the Ground Running in Brazil Next Summer!


Next summer the country of Brazil will host the 20th FIFA World Cup.  Brazil will host the 2014 FIFA World Cup for the second time in the World Cup's 20-year history.  The World Cup in some ways will be Brazil's tune for Summer Olympic Games which the City of Rio de Janeiro will host in 2016.  International football or soccer fans from around the globe will travel to the South American country of Brazil to cheer for their countrymen that will compete during the FIFA World Cup for soccer glory.  The World Cup which will be held from June 12 - July 13, 2014 will once again feature some of the world's premier soccer teams from countries like:  Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, the United States and many other countries. 

Ticket sales for the World Cup began on August 20, 2013 and to date more than 2.3 million tickets have been purchased by fans from different countries around the world.   According to the FIFA World Cup website, an estimated 3.3 million World Cup tickets will be available for purchase in advance with the majority of tickets being sold at FIFA.com.  The 12 host cities for the 2014 World Cup are:  Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Cuiaba, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manaus, Natal, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Sao Paulo. Six of the 12 host cities will play their games in brand new stadiums built specifically for the purposes of hosting the 2014 World Cup. 

With 289 days remaining before the start of the 2014 World Cup, and approximately one million tickets remaining, World Cup soccer fans had better buy their tickets soon or risk the chance of missing out on the live World Cup pandemonium, and soccer experience.
