Rio Time Shares: Finding Affordable Housing In Preparation for Your Visit to Rio de Janeiro for the 2014 World Cup

In my last post, I discussed the appeal of luxury sports experience travel agency, RoadTrips.com.  In this post, I am going to talk about the alternative to using a luxury sports travel outfit like RoadTrips.com.  Let's be honest, the average sports Joe either can't afford to drop $10,000 on a trip to the World Cup, or if he can afford it--he may have better things to spend his hard earned money on than the World Cup or maybe even the Olympic Games.  My point here is:  to each is own--no one can tell you how to spend your hard earned cash.

Nevertheless, perhaps one of the best strategies to make your Brazilian excursion to the 2014 World Cup more affordable may very well take the form of the Brazilian Timeshare market.  I did a little research and found a number of purported timeshare renter's, sellers and resellers who want to either rent, or sell their timeshare interest to motivated renters and buyers like you for a price that you can afford.  From time to time, and going forward, I will be blogging about the various Timeshares that are available in Rio de Janeiro, and throughout the rest of Brazil or at least the Timeshares that are within close proximity to Rio or one of the other 11 Brazilian cities that will be hosting the 2014 World Cup, specifically cities like Sao Paolo, Salvador, Brasilia or Natal.

My goal is to present the best time share rental and purchasing deals that I can identify.  Hopefully, the information that I post here will be useful to your in your pursuit of finding sweet, cost-saving travel deals to Brazil next year.  One such deal that I found is a real money-saver at the Plaza Praia Suites (above) in Fortaleza, Brazil which is located in northeastern Brazil just north of Natal.  This is the perfect time share deal for someone who doesn't have a whole lot of cash to fork over in one sitting.  The timeshare at the Plaza Praia Suites, a one-bedroom that includes modern amenities right on Brazil's Iracema Beach.  While this timeshare may not be ideal for a group--it would be perfect for two people.  The timeshare rents for $500 per month, and seems like a very good deal in my opinion.  To get more specifics about the unit click here.

Another nice time share deal that I found on the market is priced for sale at $7900, but it is larger than the timeshare above, and "sleeps four."  According to the Plaza Praia Suites website:  "[t]he [hotel] is located in one of Brazil's most popular destinations- on Iracema Beach in Fortaleza! Beaches, bars, restaurants, discotheques and more can be found nearby, making this beautiful resort an ideal home base. The Plaza Praia Suites offers bedrooms furnished with taste and modern comfort, and the hotel restaurant has an excellent tropical breakfast buffet. Don't miss the rooftop pool! For more information about this beautiful destination."  If it sounds interesting you should check it out.

Going To the 2014 World Cup: Check Out RoadTrips.com When You Are Ready to Jetset To Your Next International Sporting Event

Tinkering with the idea of attending my inaugural World Cup next summer got me to thinking . . . first and foremost about the logistics of packing my bags and hitting Brazil next summer to attend the 2014 World Cup, and to cheer for the United States soccer team, and other teams that represent countries that I like or follow from time to time.  I've only become an active soccer fan within the last 10 years.  So, I guess that you say that I am just coming out of the closet as a soccer fan.  Yet, my recent announcement that I am no longer a closet soccer fan doesn't mean that prior to my coming out of the soccer fan closet that I was an anti-fan of soccer.  To the contrary, I have never disliked soccer or had anything against the sport of soccer, rather it was just that growing up on Chicago's low-end--soccer was not one of the sports that everyone played in the homogeneous Fuller Park neighborhood on Chicago's southside.  Instead, I grew up playing the other football, basketball, baseball and softball--never mind that outside of the United States of America--soccer or futbol is the most popular sport in the world.

Ok, now that I have shared my childhood sports machinations, and my lack of soccer participation outside of my elementary school gym class, I have to celebrate my new found appreciation for the art of the soccer ball.  Undoubtedly, Mia Hamm and the United States Women Soccer team's on the field heroics during the 2004 Olympic games captured my attention along with millions of other Americanos back then.  As a matter of fact, I have made it my goal to watch the USA Soccer teams compete during the World Cup and the Olympic Games since that time.  Anyway, enough of my admissions of soccer guilt.  My real reason for writing this post is to share a few words about a pretty cool company, with an even cooler name, RoadTrips.com.

RoadTrips.com is an on-line travel company that according to their website has been operating since 1992.  RoadTrips.com is a "leader in the sports travel industry," and caters to those who seek  "custom luxury experiences at the world's most sought-after sporting events."  According to their website:

"Roadtrips' team of sports travel specialists craft customized packages for
affluent travelers, giving them VIP access to first-class accommodations,
red-carpet elite and private events, highly-efficient transportation solutions
and expert concierge planning services. Each exclusive travel experience is
tailored to each traveler's needs and specifications, providing them with the
                 ultimate luxury vacation."

In addition to RoadTrips' luxury travel offerings, RoadTrips also has very smartly leveraged
partnerships that have allowed the company to create exclusive and innovative vacation packages that combine luxury travel with memorable sporting experiences.  Obviously, RoadTrips might not be for every sports aficionado, or World Cup or Olympic Games' fan.  Nevertheless, for those who like the finer things in life, and can afford it--RoadTrips is definitely a luxury sports travel company that you should check out.  Who knows you might be pleasantly surprised by what you find.
